Manufacturing
The materialization of each piece is defined through the art of manufacturing.
It's in this process that each element acquires its unique character and palpable soul, culminating thevision born from inspiration and shaped by digital design, precision mechanization, and the humantouch.Everything begins with a passionate search and the careful selection of wood.
Our commitmentranges from the versatile simplicity of multi-ply or MDF boards to the unmistakable nobility ofwoods like beech, oak, or sapele, choosing the ideal material for each creation.
Once selected, theboards undergo a meticulous preparation process: they're sanded and polished by hand, ensuring aflawless surface and a perfect base for what's to come.Once the wood is prepared, technology comes into play with our Computer Numerical Control(CNC) machinery.
This is a high-precision mechanized milling machine that works on the board.Designs, previously created in our vectorial design software, are processed by specializedconversion and preparation software that translates every detail of the digital drawing into exactinstructions, in the code language that guides the CNC, allowing it to engrave, cut, and carve thedesign with astonishing fidelity and millimeter accuracy.
This step is fundamental for generatingprecise details in each shape, figure, and component.Coloring is a crucial step and is applied by hand, using natural products or water-based paints.
Thedecision to apply color before or after the CNC cutting process depends entirely on the visual andscenic effect we wish to achieve, allowing us to explore a rich palette of results.
After cutting andcoloring, each element receives a careful final finish, with a lacquer that not only protects the piecebut also intensifies the vividness of its colors and the depth of its textures. Finally, the pieces take their definitive form.
In the case of lamps, components are preciselyassembled, giving life to the luminous structure.
This final process includes the integration of allelectrical elements such as colored fabric cables, plugs, and lamp holders, meticulously selected toadd an extra touch of personality and uniqueness to each luminaire.
For decorative panels, theprocess focuses on strengthening the wood and incorporating discreet anchoring systems that allowfor their impeccable presentation on the wall, ready to adorn the space
.This meticulous manual work, executed with patience and dedication, is what confers eachHabitabit Studio piece its unmistakable personality and the unique imprint of creative Mastery.
