Parametric Lamps: Form, Light, and Color
At Habitabit Studio, our parametric lamps are the culmination of profound design and a constant dialogue between natural inspiration and technology.
More than just lighting fixtures, they are light sculptures that transform and define space through inspired geometries and rhythmic patterns.
Our approach to parametric design allows us to delve into the essence of forms.
Each lamp originates from a graphic concept directly inspired by nature: the robustness of a cactus, the sinuosity of a flower, the power of a sun, or the silhouette of a plant.
We create essential, clean, and minimalist designs, aiming for maximum simplicity and the purest graphic coding.
From vectorial design, we transition to the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine.
Thanks to our continuous experimentation, we achieve impeccable precision in cutting each of the geometric pieces that compose the lamp.
The accuracy is such that every element fits together perfectly without the need for external components like glues or nails.
Once cut with this precision, the work becomes deeply personal.
Each lamp undergoes the manual process of decoration and coloring.
It is in these hands that each piece expresses its maximum luminous and chromatic potential, making every lamp truly unique.
The final stage of this personalized process is the assembly of all the parts and the integration of all the electrical elements.
From the colored fabric cables to the plugs and lamp holders, each component is meticulously selected and assembled.
These details not only ensure functionality but also add an extra touch of personality and uniqueness to each luminaire.
At Habitabit Studio, we foster a space for co-creation: you can request your own lamp, customizing the color, the size, or even proposing your own shape, ensuring your light is as unique as your space.
Every Habitabit Studio parametric lamp is a testament to how advanced technology merges with the simplicity of conceptual design and of manual mastery to sculpt color and redefine the spatial experience.

Decorative Panels: From Digital Volume to Visual Texture
At Habitabit Studio, the creation of our decorative panels is a process that merges manual craftsmanship with digital innovation.
The starting point for each piece lies in a meticulous and passionate selection of wood.
We are dedicated to finding the ideal material for every project, from the versatile simplicity of multi-ply or MDF boards to the distinguished beauty of species like beech, oak, or sapele.
Once chosen, each board undergoes a thorough initial preparation, where hand-sanding and polishing ensure a flawless surface, ready for transformation.
From this tangible foundation, our approach to digital design branches out to encompass the diversity of our creations.
Sometimes, we delve into advanced three-dimensional modeling, employing software that allows us to conceive volumes and geometries of great complexity.
To achieve this visual richness, our approach is logical and systematic: this enables us to generate dynamic and highly elaborate patterns, translating the depth and sinuous silhouettes of three-dimensional forms into distinguishable layers of two-dimensional planes, equally rich in figurative details of curves and spirals.
Other times, the process focuses directly on two-dimensional design, creating patterns like tessellations.
In both cases, once we have defined these digital structures (whether they are 3D-derived layers or pure 2D designs), we proceed to optimize these creations into a high-precision vectorial format. For this, we use vector design tools that enable us to delineate every line and curve with absolute accuracy. This phase is indispensable, as it is here that the fundamental files are
generated, which will serve as the basis for the subsequent production stage.
Finally, these clean and polished vectorial designs are processed using specialized conversion and preparation software, an intelligent interface that translates every detail of the digital drawing into exact instructions for the CNC machinery. This step is the bridge between the digital idea and tangible reality, ensuring that every cut, engraving, and carving is executed with astonishing fidelity.
It's a process where artistic vision meets digital engineering, giving life to creations that transcend the screen to inhabit space.
Each piece is finished manually, through a personal and meticulous process.
It is in these hands that polishing, coloring, lacquering, and the final decoration transform the mechanical engraving into a work of art with a soul.
This distinctive approach allows us to create works that are not merely decorative, but embody a sophisticated fusion of digital innovation, technological precision, and the warm, authentic touch of manual craftsmanship. Every Habitabit Studio piece is a testament to careful design and the art oftransformation, resulting in truly unique and innovative creations.
